ZAZA chair

By Naoto Fukasawa for Driade, the Zaza chair channels traditional lines in ebonized timber and black leather upholstery.


Designed by Nendo for Japanese brand Maruni, the Cord chair is a steel frame clad entirely in wood.  It can be made only by hand.

Ripple (2008) is a limited edition bench in multi-layer plywood by Toyo Ito for Italian producer Horm.


Tokujin Yoshioka has designed the Cloud sofa for Italian furniture maker Moroso.   A prototype in paper will be presented at Milan design week 2009.  Later Moroso will develop the design in fabric form.


Designed by Japanese architect Kazuyo Sejima (2000), the poetic Marumaru is made by Driade.


Designed in 2008, Rin is fruit of a new cross-cultural design collaboration by Danish maker Fritz Hansen and the young Japanese designer Hiromichi Konno.  Currently available in black or white polyurethane with an aluminium base.  But  I like the all red look.
